Mother's Day Camping Trip

Hello All... We had a long weekend so we took off and went camping for the weekend. We got back early this afternoon. We had a great time. I couldn't think of a better way to spend my Mother's Day! We had a rough week last week and so I was so happy to get away and take a break. Everyday life just gets hard sometimes... anyways we had a blast as always. We went to a local state park and they had the huge fields of wild flowers growing. Which by the way you can't pick... I knew you couldn't pick the blue bonnets but I didn't know about the others. Anyways, they were just beautiful. So I had this wild imagination of getting my kids to run through them and get all these great pictures. Yea right... It was such a mess. I did get a descent picture but it was miserable getting it. The flowers were pretty tall and so it scared the baby and made him cry, I guess he thought we might lose him. Who knows? And then the others were hot and tired and it was itchy and the bugs were biting and on and on and on it went. By the time we got back to the car three of the five of them were crying. So much for that dream. It was miserable hot that day, like in the 90's but dang. Oh well... Sunday was much better. A cool front came through and so it was like in the 70's all day. Just beautiful. They surprised me with a cake, flowers, and some chocolate. It was the perfect day. Hailey even did the night dishes for me. Yeah wow! It was perfect! I loved every second of it. Allen loves to bring me flowers. Well, most of the time they are weeds but he doesn't know the difference. So I got a daily bouquet of flowers for the trailer. He's such a sweety, well when he's not in trouble. he he he.... I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too. Happy Late Mom's Day. I love you all.... I'll put some more pictures up later from our trip.

Looks like you had an awesome Mother's Day weekend. What fun! The misery your kids endured trying to get the photos in the field of flowers made me laugh. My mom used to have a place by the lake that she called Fairy Land - she loved to take pictures of the kids there. They HATED it! They would run screaming from the house if she even mentioned she wanted to go to Fairy Land for photos.
