Stupid Question???

Okay, I know I'm not the smartest cookie in the box but I was just wondering and pondering about this for some time now. I've seen this in several blogs. So please, don't be offended,I'm not trying to pick at anybody or anything, I'm just boggled by it and I kind of find it funny. Okay, so have you seen these blogs that say, "Wordless Wendesday"? Well, okay but have you ever noticed that they are never wordless. So explain this to me... Is there something I'm missing. Maybe like an inside joke that I don't get. Or maybe... it's just less words on that day than any other day???? I am some what a blonde so maybe I just don't get it. I must admit it does make me giggle. I love it when it's titled "Wordless Wendesday" and theres a novel written below. He he he... Just wondered! :) Will someone please explain this to me??? Thanks :) Maybe I'll try it some day. he he he....

Landon's Party

Okay, I'm finally getting the pictures up of his party. Well, we didn't have it until Friday night so I'm not that bad. Anyways, we had a great time. He got lots of goodies and he really enjoyed his cake. We had a few friends over and so that made it special. He wasn't feeling all that great, he had an ear infection but I think he enjoyed it anyways. I made his cakes, the little #1 was just for him. He at a good portion of it but he really enjoyed squishing it all up and making a big mess. As you can tell we had to have an immediate bath. Anyways, all in all a good day. He went for his shots and 12 month check-up last Thursday. He's doing great. He weighed 21 lbs 8 oz. and was 27 1/2 long. He's getting so darn big. Way too fast.

Landon's First Year

Happy Birthday Sweet Baby Boy...

Can you believe it's my sweet babies first birthday. As I look back, this year has just flown by. Seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home. What happened to the time? He is just growing so darn fast. He's walking and talking up a storm. He really keeps me on my toes. He's a very inquisitive little boy and just wants to check out everything. Who needs toys when there's so much more to explore. He's most defiantly a mommas boy right now. We are going through that stage of having an all out, full blown melt down when mom leaves his sight. Soooo... He's wearing me out. But he really is such a joy and I can't imagine my life without him. He loves balls, they are the best toys ever. He loves his brothers and sister's so much. It just makes me melt to see him light up when he sees them coming. Oh but his favorite is food. He loves to eat. He's like the bottomless pit. Can't imagine where he got that from? Ha! Here's a few pictures from his first year. We are so very blessed to have this little surprise in our lives. Happy 1st Birthday sweet baby! This is my prayer for you....
Oh precious Lord... Thank you so very much for giving me such a precious baby boy. He is such a joy to me and I love him so. Lord, place your hands on my sweet boy and protect him as he grows. I pray for his little hands that they may clasp and hold tight to yours for the journey of life you have for him. I pray for his little feet that they may only go where you lead them to go. I pray for his little eyes that they see your glory in all he does. I pray for his little mouth that it may praise you with all he says. I pray that his life will reflect you in all that he does and that many people my see you through his life. I pray that he may love you and walk close by your side all the days of his little life. I love you so and I thank you yet once again for this Blessing... In your precious name I pray! Amen!

Science Fair Projects....

Here's the girls with their Science Fair projects. They turned them in on Monday. Man was I glad to get that over with. I'm not a science fair kind of girl. I just have no love for it at all. They both grew a flower. Lauren did the life cycle of a flower and Hailey did the effects of different types of soil. They did great and we are all glad that it's over. :)

Fun Family Day

On the Ferris Wheel... See Daddy, Landon, & Lauren

Here's a few shots of a fun family day we had while we were camping. We went into Houston one day and went to the Aquarium. It was the best one we had ever been too, FYI. We had a great day! Just wanted to share some quick photos of our day...

My boys....

Here's a few pictures of my boys. They had a big week of firsts, well the big boys that is. They had a great week camping after Christmas. But their boys so why wouldn't they? They got new fishing poles and daddy taught them how to fish. So they thought they were big stuff. Until they both lost their little practice fish in the lake. I loved watching them fish. It was so cute. They just thought that was something else. Although they were a little disappointed that their fishing pole didn't catch fish like dads did. They also learned to ride their bikes without the training wheels. Not really on purpose but it ended up that way. See when Allen rides his bike he rides like a mad man, ninety to nothing. So on one of his crazy flying rides around the corner he lost one of his training wheels and it broke off. So we had no choose but being as competitive as they are with one another, Bryan was not going to let his brother learn to ride without the training wheels. So daddy ended up teaching both of them. We knew Allen wouldn't have any trouble and he really didn't. It was so funny because he took off and just kept going and going but he couldn't figure out how to stop. So here he is on the other side of the park from us crying I can't make it stop. It was cute. He just took off and no turning back. Bryan took a little longer but he's not as coordinated as most. He was still falling with the training wheels. Ha ha ha... No, he really was. So I wasn't really thrilled about that but I knew we'd have too. Can't let his little brother beat him. He's getting it. He really just has a hard time having the strength to get going. But he's doing really great too. I'm so proud of both of them. Now, have you ever seen something so funny? You have to be dog tired to fall asleep with your face in the dogs rear end. I couldn't help but take a picture. Most days he didn't have his normal nap so when we came in at night we'd most nights find him curled up somewhere passed out. This was one of those nights. Too funny! :) And then poor Landon passed out in his seat. It's hard to sleep good away from your bed. So anytime we went anywhere he was passed out in his seat. All in all it was great week!

William's 39th Birthday

William had a Birthday and turned 39 on December 29th. He spent most of the day fishing and he did really well, I might add. He caught 10 bass that day. So that made his day. I think it was Birthday luck too because he only caught two or three all the other days. My dad took us out to eat to celebrate his Birthday as well. Someones getting awful close to that big 40! But I won't name any names...

a funny....

Okay, this is a funny and I just had to tell you about it. The boys have been just buggin the snot out of us about Christmas since before Thanksgiving. I mean to the point of just being absurd. So, just playin with them one day, I said, okay you guys aren't getting anything but rocks and sticks, because you just can't hush about it. So we joked with them for several weeks about this. WELL, while at the Dollar Tree I just happened across a bag of rocks and sticks (I wasn't looking for them). And yes I had to buys them. I mean what kind of mother wouldn't. :) So I wrapped them a in a pretty big box and on Christmas Eve they are allowed to open one present. So with a little coxing from their sisters that's the one they chose. I will never forget the look on their poor faces when they saw those rocks and sticks. See Hailey and Lauren had already opened their gifts so I'm sure they weren't expecting that. Bryan actually teared up, I think we broke his heart. Although, we laughed really really hard we did allow them to pick another one. We're not that mean! Well, maybe that was just a little mean. But to be honest I didn't think they'd take it that seriously. But they did and we were awful, mean, horrible, parents for about five more minutes, then we were okay again. But I'm thinking they won't soon forget their sticks and rocks. In fact, when asked what they got, Allen proudly proclaims, Sticks and Rocks! Mr. smarty pants! Oh and the first picture was of them waiting for William to get the camcorder ready. I loved Allen's face. It's like he was thinking, You idiot get that thing going, how long does it take! Just wanted to share some of parental joy that we added to our children's therapy list. Ha! Ha! Ha!

This is Bryan trying to be polite and seem really happy and grateful about
his gift... Because you know we had that discussion...

This is Bryan trying hard not to cry and Allen just plain ticked off and trying to think of something nice to say... But nothing is coming to mind right about now...

Finally... Christmas Pictures

I know, I know, it's about time. Sorry, but this crud we have is just about to do me in. I thought I might actually die yesterday. Or at least I think that would have been the best option. Just shoot me and put me out of my misery. It's been miserable! Anyways! On to better stuff.... We had a great Christmas. It lasted several days of course. The Sunday before we had a bunch of family over, about 19 I think. That was fun. We hadn't seen most of them for several years. Then Christmas Eve and Day were kind of quite and relaxing. We just laid around, visiting, playing, oh and don't forget the eating. We did lots of that. ha ha ha... Then we got up the day after Christmas and headed to my dad for the week. We had a good time there as well. Despite the crud. Anyways, as you can tell the kids didn't have near enough presents. I mean good grief.... Landon enjoyed his first Christmas. He mainly enjoyed all the paper and bags but he did really enjoy a few of his toys too. He also decided that Christmas day was the day to walk. He woke up walking and hasn't slowed down yet. Go figure... He's been playin with it for a month but just all of the sudden decided, yep today is the day. Neat that he did it on Christmas though. The kids all thought that was pretty neat. They got all kinds of goodies and have enjoyed them alot. Well, for the most part. Poor Lauren started getting sick Christmas Eve and Christmas Day had a fever of 104, so she pretty much opened her presents and slept the rest of the day. I'm not even sure she remembers any of it. She was up in her room yesterday for a long time and when she came down, I asked her what she had been doing and she said, I was playing with all of my cool stuff. So I guess she just realized that she had it. ha ha ha... poor thing. Anyways, there's our Christmas in a nut shell. It came and went so fast. I feel like it was all a big blur. Some where along I lost touch with reality. Not sure any of it happened, maybe it was all a dream. Hopefully I'm not the only one that feels that way. I can't seem to get back into the swing of things either. Oh well, hopefully I'll catch back up one of these days and get out of this fog I'm in. The kids go back to school tomorrow so hopefully that will through me back into it. I feel bad for them, they've spent their whole or pretty much anyways, being sick, poor things. Well, at least we didn't have to miss a week of school with it. Hope you all of a great day! I'll add a few more later too.

Hellooo...

No... we haven't fallen off the face of the earth or anything like that. We're still here, so far anyways. We left the day after Christmas to spend a week down at my dads in Houston. We just got back yesterday. We also have been and still are battling the flu or something like it. Took Hailey to the Dr. yesterday and he said it was not the flu but an upper repository infection. We have fever, aches, soar throat, coughing, just the whole nine yards. So we all pretty much feel like crap. All we want to do is sleep. I slept from 11:30 to 3:00 today and have just cat napped the rest of the day. William, Bryan and Allen have not yet come down with it but I'm sure they will it's just a matter of time. So I sent William off to the store for some much needed staples. But I just wanted to let you all know we're here just trying to get everyone well. I'll post some Christmas pictures later.
