Weekend Fun...

Hey all, hope all is well. This past weekend Hailey and Bryan had a Tae Kwon Do Show, (I guess that's what you'd call it) at a Fall Festival at the High School here. They had a good time. They got to break a board and show off a few moves. Hailey of course broke her board with no problem. In fact, she made it look way too easy. But it took Bryan a little longer. It took him three tries but he finally got it. I was never so glad either because he was fixing to have a melt down. His eyes were all teared up but man he light up when he finally broke it. It was a huge confidence builder for him. He just thought he was something else. He looks scared to death in the picture but there was quite a big crowd of people watching him, so I guess I would have been too. Anyways, it was fun. Lauren and Allen played on a bounce house for a little bit while we waited so of course that was a lot of fun too. All in all a good day....

Camping at Lake Benbrook...

We went camping this past weekend at Lake Benbrook. It was a beautiful weekend and we had a great, relaxing weekend. We went Friday, Saturday and came back on Sunday. WE always enjoy a good camping trip. On Saturday, we took the kids to Fossil Rim Wild Life Park. They had alot of fun feeding all the animals. Even little Landon had fun. He even got a nibble from one of the deers. But no harm done. He he he... I'll add more pictures of that next...... All in all we had a Great weekend!

Happier Pumpkins...

Here's my other pumpkins. They are a little happier. I guess I need to take them all to the pumpkin patch and get a picture in their matching pumpkin shirts. Maybe I'll get to that.... Hailey, Lauren, and Bryan at the Fall Festival at their school and Allen and Landon at the Pumpkin Patch before the melt down. Ha ha ha...

Not a Happy Pumpkin...

This is Landon at the Pumpkin Patch. But as you can see he was not happy to be there. Of course, I decided to take him there after a day of shopping and not a good nap. So can't say it was his fault. But he's still the cutest pumpkin... Maybe he's trying to make a matching face with his shirt. he he he... He did a pretty good job.

Tae Kwon Do pictures...

Here's a few shots of the Hailey and Bryan sparing at Tae Kwon Do class. They are still really enjoying it. Especially now that they are beginning to fight some. Bryan is still nervous about hurting someone but we always say pretend it's Allen and he's been picking on you again. It usually gets him going. Ha ha ha.... Hailey of course, is about the biggest kid in there and so they just try to stay out of her way when they begin to fight. It's kind of comical. I enjoy watching them. Sorry it they are a little dark. I didn't take them...

Then God.....

Yes, this is yet another one of my late night ramblings. But when God reveals just a tid bit of Himself, the excitement is just overwhelming and I have to share it with you. Maybe it will mean nothing to you but maybe to one of you, it will be just as exciting as it has been for me....

I'm taking a Beth Moore Bible study and we are studying about Abraham and Sarah. Anyways, long story short in Genesis, chapter 21 Hagar and Ishmael were sent away by Sarah into the dessert. After walking in the dessert and at the point of death Hagar asks God to not let her see her son die and in verse 18 it says, "Then God...." This hit me like a ton of bricks. These two words just jumped off the page at me. Then God... "Then God opened her eyes..." Then God.... I had to back up and put myself in Hagar's shoes. Had I been Hagar and faced that dessert with the circumstances she did, I would have faced it with anger, pride and bitterness. My attitude about the whole thing probably would have left God out all together, I'm afraid. Then that got me thinking even more. What if, what if.... rather than being bitter and angry, she (I) had faced that dessert, (trial, hurt, pain, struggle) with God and before she took one step into that dessert said, "look God, there's no way I can face this without you. The dessert is too far, too scary, too hard, and for goodness sakes too hot." Do you think she might not have had to go to the brink of death before God stepped in and opened her eyes? Maybe He would have saved her all that pain and suffering. Maybe if her judgment hadn't been clouded she could have seen that what she needed most was right in front of her, she was just too foolish to see it. I think we can all relate to that. I know I can. But have no fear, because when we do finally give in and ask Him for help, there's always a, "THEN GOD..." Then God in all is Wisdom, Glory and Power will step in, open our eyes and save the day..... according to His will and plan for our lives. Isn't that good? "THEN GOD!!!!"

More birthday pictures....

Hailey's 12th Birthday...

Here's Hailey at her slumber party. She had a great time. We took the girls to Justice and they all got to dress up like Movie Stars, as you can see. It was alot of fun. Although, we are still in shock that this was Hailey's pick for a party. Our Tom Boy is turning out to be a girl after all. She got all pink stuff and lots of jewelry. Can you imagine? I guess the teen years are just around the corner. ha ha ha... She had a blast. And I survived the night. It wasn't too bad, they all were asleep before two. The trick is to have it on a school night. They were all tried. I had three of them fall asleep just after eleven. How great was that? ha ha ha... Anyways just wanted to share my big princess. She's growing up way too fast. This last picture is what her dad and I got her. She was so surprised. She's been begging for a cell phone and we've been so against it that she just knew she wasn't going to get one. She was very very surprised but she loved it.
